The passenger goes to his accommodation / home and will be informed after 12 hours of the test result; confinement is mandatory during the entire waiting time.

Passengers with positive tests, as well as their direct contacts, will be subject to confinement at a designated hotel. All costs (medical, accommodation and meals) will be paid by the Local Government. After 10 days, passengers will be subject to new tests, and If negative, visitors can finish their holidays without additional restrictions.

You must bring a passport or vaccination certificate validated by the Country of Origin, in English.

From 1 July 2020, Madeira and Porto Santo are fully open to international travellers.
